[Re]Construction
This ongoing series investigates the natural cycles of life – the growth and decay of our lives, bacteria, technology, and nature. The concept is based on the idea of a circle, that everything born must die and be brought back into the earth. A take and give. The forms created are meditative on these ideas and how both the body, spirit, and mind are not integrated with this natural cycle as we once were. Instead, being subject to illness, artificial materials and foods, longetivity due to technology and our overabundance of technology with no give back to where these resources came from, my work brings out the imbalance nature of the world today and creates abnormal growths that feed off this imbalance.
